My friend Ken Grandlund, a remarkable blogger at Common Sense and Bring It On!, has announced his candidacy for California's 49th Congressional District. He is a true progressive and one of the most thoughtful bloggers I have ever read and he's running as an independent.
Ken has worked hard on his blog to discuss the problems of our two-party system of government. His writing is well crafted and defined by it's rationality. He is a blogger par excellence and has been recognized with a nomination for the Koufax Award for Best Series on health care.
Ken's campaign site is www.ken4congress2006.com. Please support him. Who better to help fix our problems in government than bloggers who have dedicated countless hours, for little to no recognition, to thinking about our political system and how we can do better. Below is the text of Ken's announcement.
